Who we are

NextLevel is an athlete-owned recruiting profile service at nextlevelnetwork.net.

Needs review: Founder to confirm the legal business name, business address and responsible contact.

Who can use NextLevel

Athlete accounts are intended for people ages 13 and older. Users ages 13–17 have additional protections described below. NextLevel is not directed to children under 13.

Needs review: Attorney to advise on age collection, what happens if someone under 13 signs up, and parental consent requirements for 13–17 year olds under federal and state law.

Account details

• What: email, password (stored by our sign-in provider, not readable by us), name, chosen role (athlete, coach, parent/guardian).
• Why: to create and secure your account.
• Required: yes.
• Who sees it: you and NextLevel administrators.

Athlete profile and recruiting information

• What: name and optional preferred name, sports, positions, level, school, graduation year, hometown/state, bio, photo, career history, stats and measurables, film links, recruiting preferences.
• Why: to build your recruiting profile.
• Required: name, sport and level are required; everything else is optional.
• Who sees it: depends on your visibility setting (Private, Limited, Open) and the per-category choices on your Privacy page. High-school profiles can never be set to Open. Coaches only see what those settings allow, and only after NextLevel staff verify them.

Private athlete details

• What: contact email/phone, date of birth, guardian name/contact, GPA and scale, test scores, academic notes, NCAA registration status, uploaded documents (such as transcripts or ID for verification).
• Why: to support academic summaries, verification and contact once you approve it.
• Who sees it: you, NextLevel administrators reviewing verification, linked guardians (read-only), and a coach only if you approve their access request for that category. You can revoke access at any time.
• These details are never shown on a public profile.

Verification labels

Information is labeled Verified only after a NextLevel administrator reviews supporting evidence. Everything else is labeled Self-reported or Unverified. Verification is a limited review, not a guarantee.

Coach information

• What: name, institution, sport, coaching role, work email, phone, photo, photo ID, verification documents and status.
• Recruiting activity: searches, saved searches, watchlists, board notes, access requests, meeting requests and profile views (profile views are logged for athlete safety).
• Who sees it: coach identity documents are visible only to the coach and administrators. Athletes see a coach's name, role and institution when that coach contacts or requests access.

Parent and guardian information

• What: account details, invitation email, relationship, link status, and the date you acknowledged the Guardian disclosure.
• A linked guardian can read the linked athlete's profile and private details, and messages for high-school athletes. Guardians cannot edit the profile and can only change visibility if the athlete allowed it.

Messages and meetings

Coaches and athletes can message and schedule meetings only after the athlete has approved that coach's access. Linked guardians can read message threads of high-school athletes. Email notifications about new messages do not contain the message text.

Needs review: Founder to confirm message retention and whether administrators review messages when investigating a report.

Security and technical records

We keep audit records of sensitive actions (such as access approvals, verification decisions and coach profile views), reports of misconduct, and basic technical information needed to run the service securely.

Service providers

• Hosting, database, file storage and sign-in: Lovable Cloud.
• Email delivery for account and notification emails.
• AI filter drafting for verified coaches processes only the coach's own typed search text, never athlete data.

Needs review: Founder and attorney to confirm the full list of providers and data-processing terms.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal information and do not use athlete information for advertising.

Retention and deletion

You can request deletion of your account from Account & data. Requests are reviewed by a person; see the Data Deletion Policy for what happens and what may be kept.

Needs review: Retention periods and backup expiry have not been set. Founder and attorney to decide them.

Email privacy@nextlevelnetwork.net for privacy questions or requests, or use Account & data while signed in. Please don't include sensitive details in email.

We'll update the version and date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
